Aluminum household foil is widely used in cooking, freezing, fresh-keeping, baking and other industries. At present, the aluminum alloys used to produce household foils in the market are generally 1235 and 8011 alloys. The 1235 aluminum foil has the advantages of good surface quality and fewer pinholes but due to the low alloy content and soft strength, it leads to poor rolling performance, resulting in problems such as low production efficiency and yield.
The aluminum content of 1235 aluminum foil is more than 99.35%, which is also a kind of pure aluminum foil. The alloy composition of 1235 aluminum foil is different from that of 8011 aluminum foil. The difference in process lies in the annealing temperature. The annealing temperature of 1235 aluminum foil is lower than that of 8011 aluminum foil, but the annealing time is basically the same.
The tensile strength of 8011 aluminum foil is higher than that of 1235 aluminum foil. At the same time, the elongation of 8011 aluminum foil is not much different from that of 1235 aluminum foil, but slightly higher.
1235 aluminum foil is also used for the cable shielding. The aluminum foil coated with plastic film on one or both sides is used as a shield for cables by utilizing the airtightness and shielding properties of aluminum foil.
8011 aluminum foil belongs to 8xxx aluminum foil, which has better performance than that of pure aluminum foil. The common tempers are H18, H16, H22, HO. It is mainly used in food packaging, pharmaceutical packaging, sealing foil, bottle cap,etc.
Al-Fe-Si elements are added to 8011 household aluminum foil roll. Its tensile strength is 125-165, the yield strength is 110, and the elongation is 2-5. In terms of performance, the aluminum content of pure aluminum foil 1050 is not less than 99.5%. Although it has good rust resistance, formability and weldability, compared with 8011 aluminum foil, 1050 aluminum foil is softer and has low tensile strength. In terms of usage, 8011 aluminum foil is commonly used as beer foil, household foil, air conditioner foil, and cable foil. 1050 aluminum foil is commonly used as cable foil and light gauge foil.
