The PTP blister foil is mainly used for aluminum-plastic blister packaging of pharmaceutical tablets, capsules, pills, etc. It has good light-shielding performance, moisture-proof performance, gas-retaining performance and taste-retaining performance. Pharmaceutical PTP aluminum foil is generally made of aluminum alloy, which has excellent mechanical properties and pinhole performance, and its roughness and gloss are better than pure aluminum foil, which is conducive to high printing.
Pinhole is a key index to evaluate the quality of aluminum foil, which mainly affects the barrier properties of packaging materials, especially for pharmaceutical aluminum foil. Pinhole is an unavoidable defect in the process of aluminum foil processing. According to the results of water vapor transmission test on the pinhole-containing area of pharmaceutical aluminum foil, it can be proved that the smaller pinholes (≤0.2mm) have negligible effect on the water vapor barrier properties of pharmaceutical aluminum foil.
The original aluminum foil is the carrier of the adhesive layer, and its quality has a great influence on the heat sealing strength of the product. Especially the surface oil of the original aluminum foil can weaken the bonding force between the adhesive and the original aluminum foil. If there is oil on the surface of the original aluminum foil and the surface tension is lower than 31×10 m, it will be difficult to achieve the ideal heat sealing strength, so the quality of the original aluminum foil must be strictly controlled.
Aluminum foil production refers to the whole process from the beginning of aluminum foil raw material to the processing of plain aluminum foil, which is the continuation of the cold rolling process of aluminum coils.
There are two types of aluminum foil blanks: hot-rolled billet and cast-rolled billet. After cold-rolling, it is made into a semi finished aluminum foil with a thickness of 0.4-0.7mm, and then rough-rolled, medium-rolled and finish-rolled to obtain aluminum foils of different thicknesses.
The specific process of producing aluminum foil is determined according to the alloys, finished product specifications, product quality requirements, the amount of output, the specifications of production equipment, production capacity and other factors.
